Little Chic Style

Sweet Valentine Tea Party-ers

"Tea" + (Sweet + Hearts) = Adorable Fun

To celebrate the removal of her cast,

Sidenote:  Lily Kate broke her wrist the week before Christmas.
It's a long, now somewhat humorous story for another day.

Lily Kate decided to host a Valentine's Day tea party at her favorite lunch place,
The Cambridge Tea House.

Where else can you go for a "princess tea" -- tiara included?

The Tea Party-ers

A table set for four little princesses.

A party of any kind wouldn't be complete without some swag.

Behind the scenes:

It may look extravagant, but all the decor and swag was put together quickly and inexpensively.

All it takes is a little creativity and/or a "CHEAT SHEET."

Your CHEAT SHEET

HomeGoods for set of 4 heart placemats (selection varies by store), $6.99; Two's Company napkins and napkin rings found at Giant Eagle Market District (Pier 1 is also a great source for tableware.); Dollar Tree for gift boxes, swag and other Valentine decor.

The centerpiece was a tea cup I had in my collection (any cup would do!) arranged with a $6.99 fresh floral bouquet from Giant Eagle Market District. Wands and sequin tiaras were from the Joann Fabrics $1 bins (great selection of kiddie goodies).  I embellished the wands with fabric heart stickers from Dollar Tree and extra ribbon.  All swag, I repeat, all swag was from Dollar Tree -- Valentine box, heart socks, and Barbie tissue pack (it's that time of the year).

Even the Queen…

…took time for a delicious scone with fresh jam and clotted cream.

A Fun Time for All

My favorite time at the tea party was when we had fun playing "Follow the Leader."

as told to her mama.

Share in her adventures as she explores the world.
